For over 60 years, Oceana Golf Club has been bringing people together from all walks of life and inspiring generations of golfers. Good for 18 holes for 8. Oceana Golf Club is a testament to the power of golf in bringing people together from all walks of life. Lacking a nearby place to play, golf enthusiasts from the Shelby and Hart communities joined together to design and develop Oceana County’s first golf course. Volunteers, ranging from cherry farmers to businessmen, offered their time, talent, and equipment to build the course, which officially opened for play in 1962. While Oceana Golf Club has evolved over time to make improvements in course management, playing conditions, and facilities, it continues to uphold and honor the legacy established by its founding members.
