Bonobo Winery's vision is to bring a sense of approachability to the Michigan vine and wine scene, by removing any pretenses, and allowing for the ultimate educational and enjoyable experience. Benefitting from the region’s strong fruit-bearing properties, Bonobo grapes are estate and locally grown with wine produced on-site. Our 19 acre vineyard consists of seven grape varieties including Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Franc. Chateau Chantal, a beautiful winery nestled in the rolling hills of Northern Michigan’s Old Mission Peninsula, has a rich history rooted in family and farming. As proud stewards of 75 breathtaking acres on Old Mission Peninsula, we work hard to preserve our land’s natural beauty through sustainable farming practices, our on-site 148.5kW solar array, and certified local culinary events. We use all natural compost instead of chemical fertilizers on all our farms – building the soil back each year to feed the vines, and wines, proper nutrients for quality wine. Our mission is to put forth the best our land has to offer while maintaining a minimal environmental impact.
